Play Has No Age Limit

During the 2018 Parks Make Life Better Tour with the California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS), we spent the day at Heritage Park in the beautiful town of Suisun City. This harbor community has outstanding amenities for the people who live here, and now they have an inclusive playground and Challenge Course that serves both the people of Suisun, as well as thousands of people in the surrounding area. 

As part of the CPRS Statewide Healthy Play Initiative, Suisun recreation officials attended educational symposiums hosted by PlayCore to learn about research and best practices in the areas of inclusive play and outdoor fitness. After the workshops, the community applied for grant funds from GameTime to put that research into action and designed a  multigenerational recreation space that is a National Demonstration Site.
