City of Suisun City Park Makes Life Better

Play for All Generations

Play Has No Age Limit

The City of Suisun City, California enhanced Heritage Park with a multigenerational and inclusive recreation space for people of all ages and abilities. The inclusive playground is designed using the research found in Me2®: 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design® published by PlayCore in partnership with Utah State Center for Persons with Disabilities. It is the perfect space for children and families of all abilities to play together.

Near the playground is a Challenge Course by GameTime®, a timed ninja warrior style obstacle course for children, teens and adults to compete with one another or against their best time.

When we visited Heritage Park as part of the 2018 Parks Make Life Better Tour, we were impressed with how this community combined best-practice research from PlayCore with grant funds from GameTime to create a space where Play Has No Limit®.

Kris Lofthus - Recreation and Community Services Director, City of Suisun City “We are so excited to partner with CPRS Healthy Play Initiative and provide an accessible play space to not only Suisun City, but all of Solano County."
Stephanie Stephens - Executive Director, California Parks and Recreation Society "Play brings communities together. We’re excited to share how Parks Make Life Better®, share state-wide training, and help local communities put research into action!”
