GameTime Initiative Provides Training, Funding For Georgia Parks Departments

Lunch. Learn. Fund.

Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA), PlayCore and GameTime are working together to support the efforts of Park and Recreation departments across the state of Georgia. The statewide initiative provides training and professional development symposiums in each of Georgia's five service areas. The sessions go beyond the traditional "lunch and learn" approach. PlayCore's Center for Outreach, Research and Education will lead the half-day workshops and cover current trends and research-based practices for play and recreation destinations. Attendees will be eligible for CEU credit, and lunch is provided.

After attending one of the regional training sessions, attendees are eligible to apply for matching funds toward new outdoor recreation projects. GameTime is providing up to $1.5 million in matching funds for GRPA agencies who attend the sessions and submit an application by June 7, 2018.

GRPA member agencies who are interested in attending one of the professional development symposiums can learn more and register for an event at www.gametime.com/grpa.
