Dave Farson

Dave has been an advocate for Inclusive Play and has been a Certified Playground Safety Inspector for over a decade.  He has had the unique opportunity to work in the commercial manufacture of playgrounds as a Regional Manager where he has had direct input in the areas of new product development, marketing, implementation of playground standards in the field, custom playground design, integration of manufactured equipment with nature, community build playground projects, and the design and presentation of universally accessible playground projects throughout the United States.  He has presented at various local outreach events, regional and state shows on various topics surrounding outdoor play.  As a Regional Manager, David travels the United States working to implement best practices in outdoor play environment development, design, and maintenance.

David Hill

David has over 20 years of experience in creating outdoor play environments and currently serves as the Regional Manager for GameTime where he consults with various professionals on designing outdoor play environments that implement research-based best practices in design.  He has presented at a various conferences, including Alabama Trails, Georgia PRA, and Washington PRA.  He is a Certified Executive Trainer of PlayCore, an IACET approved provider of continuing education, providing trainings across the country to landscape architects.  David graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a MBA and from Humboldt State University with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Tom Norquist

As a founding board member in 1995, past president, past treasurer, and current secretary of the International Play Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (IPEMA) and long-term representative of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Tom has been a leader in the play industry for over 30 years. For over a decade, he served on the Access Board’s Recreation Access Advisory Committee and additionally served on the Advisory Panel for their Technical Assistance and Training for Play Area Accessibility.  He was an active advisory board member for the National Program for Playground Safety (NPPS) from 2002-2004.  Tom currently serves on the boards of the International Playground Contractor’s Association (NPCAI), National Institute for Play (NIFP), and is a founding steering committee member of the U.S. Coalition for Play. He is a skilled marketer, product innovator, master presenter, award winning playground designer, and community advocate for play and recreation.   Tom is known for his boundless energy and heartfelt passion for the lifelong benefits of play.
